Definitely worthy of a celebration…

We’ll experience increasing clouds as we get into this evening, with the overnight bringing isolated rain chances to the region.  This will be in response to our next weather producer approaching from the southwest.  Overnight lows will hang in the upper 50s.

Friday 3/13 – Rainy & Dreary – High 62° / Fri Night – Rain Likely – Low 55°

**Flood Watch from 1 am Friday through Saturday morning**

Friday’s gonna be wetttttt.  Our weather will consist of widespread rain showers, making for dreary conditions to end the work week on.  We’ll keep warm air in place across the area, thanks to southerly flow continuing to dominate the region.

A shortwave trough will continue to advect moisture and warm temperatures northward into the region from the Gulf of Mexico.

Precipitable water values will be ~1.5″, which is absurdly high, given the time of year.  Translation: There’s the potential for significant rainfall to dump from the sky.  Highs will hold in the low to mid 60s.

Rain will continue through our Friday night as well, with lows bottoming out around 57°.  Keep in mind that minor flooding will be possible.  Areas prone to flooding will likely see water levels rise even more.

On Saturday, the low pressure system will begin to track east of the region.  We’ll be left with lingering, scattered showers throughout the day.

High temperatures will once again return to the mid 60s, so it won’t be completely terrible.  Shoutout to all of you weekend grill warriors!
