Bowling Green Weather Real Time Radar:
**WINTER STORM UPDATE**
Reminder: A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 12 AM Tuesday for Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Simpson and Warren County
Today 2/15 – Heavy Snow – High 22° / Tonight – Flurries – Low 10°
The heaviest snow is beginning to fall across the region and will continue to do so over the next 2 to 3 hours. With totals already nearing 8 inches across much of Warren County, we could easily see an additional 4 to 5 inches. Snow will be the main form of precip into the afternoon, but there is a very slight chance that some sleet could work in and compact our totals a smidgen. For all the snow lovers…hopefully not!
The HRRR shows the back edge of the snow moving out between 2 and 3 pm.
So folks, there is still plenty of snow left to fall across south central Kentucky today! Please Stay Off the Roads unless it is an emergency. Main roads are a mess and back roads are virtually impassable. Also, make sure to shovel the sidewalks and patios a little at a time. That makes it much easier on the body and prevents back strains and exhaustion!
The snow map issued last night still looks like a good bet. We may peak closer to 12 inches if the precip remains all snow, but some isolated areas may see more.
