Well, it has arrived.

The cold air that has been well-advertised over about the past week, but that still doesn’t help us adjust to it. After highs rose into the 50s yesterday, temps crashed into the lower 20s by this morning. Snow showers were accompanying the cold.

This afternoon should see clouds break up a good bit, and maybe even some extended sunshine. However, temps will still be really cold as highs don’t look to get above 30.

Going into the overnight hours, clouds look to move in again over the area, and this should keep lows only into the lower 20s.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high of 36ºF. Fri. night: Cloudy, with a low of 25ºF.

Well, tomorrow we look to be (again) in between clippers that dive south, go to our north, and then bomb out off the east coast. It feels like we miss out on every single storm. Its just frustrating. I mean, again, Boston has had 6 feet of snow in 30 days.

I do wanna say: enjoy this day. Please. You’ve gotta enjoy the temperatures today. This cold front on Saturday looks mean, and we may not see highs like this for quite some time. Those highs look to end up in the mid to upper 30s.

Friday night looks good if you wanna beat the Valentines Day crowd on Saturday. Bundle up, though. Temps will be cold, as they’ll start dropping in the evening and will bottom out at around 25ºF.

Saturday: Crazy. Cloudy, with chance of snow and windy. High of 45ºF. Sat. night: Super, ridiculous, mega cold. Lows falling to 12ºF.

Welcome to the beginning of what looks to be an insane 7 day weather timeframe. This kicks it off, as a very sharp cold front dives southward and begins to cross our area. Highs should spike into the mid 40s before the front. This might have you like….

But once that front comes through, its gonna get cold. Like really cold. We haven’t seen cold like this all winter.

The front will come through, and we’ll likely see a 10-15ºF drop over a couple hour timespan, so going out for dates Saturday night will be tough. Additionally, some models are showing the idea of a band of rain/snow being forced on the front, which may lead to travel issues if it is snowfall. Either way, winds will likely gust into the 40 mph range, which will likely create travel difficulties.

The cold really becomes entrenched across the region as lows overnight drop into the lower teens across the region. This will demand you bundle up on Sunday morning!
