Cold Weather Is ‘a Coming!

Real-time BG Radar:

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high of 43ºF. Tonight: Mostly clear, with clouds increasing towards morning. Low of 29ºF

Well, we have made it to Tuesday (my least favorite day of the week). See, Monday can be filled with memories of the weekend. Wednesday can be filled with hope of the weekend. Tuesday is useless. Plus, I have three classes back to back to back.

Anyways, at least today will be sunny! Even though it will be rather sunny, highs are looking like they’ll top out in the low 40s across the region, which will feel like a heat wave come Thursday. Tonight will feature more of the same. but clouds will begin increasing in coverage towards Wednesday morning. Lows will bottom out around 29 or 30º.

Wednesday: The last nice day. Mostly cloudy, and a high of 50ºF. Wed. night: Cloudy and becoming breezy, with a low of 24ºF.

Wednesday looks to be the last really nice day for a good bit, as a low pressure center will be moving off to our north during the day, dragging a cold front to its south. Out ahead of this front, some warmer air will be drawn into the region and this will warm temps into the upper 40s, to around 50. I’m tellin’ ya, just be ready…

The cold front will drag across the region Wednesday night, and this will bring a drastic change to our weather. Temperatures will fall from the upper 40s into the low 20s by morning time. This will all be accompanied by strong winds, but little in the way of precipitation.

Winds look to continue howling into the day on Thursday, but first lows on Wed. night will plummet into the low to mid 20s across the region. Any drizzle/light precip that falls from the sky will be frozen in nature, so keep that in mind.

Thursday: Brutal. Mostly cloudy and windy, with a high of 25ºF. Thur. night: Clear, with a low of 14ºF.

This is old. Come on now. I mean I feel bad even highlighting the high for today in red because that implies it’ll be at least kinda warm. It has been cold way too often without snowfall, and I am getting tired of it at this point. The cold front will come through, and will send temps into the 20s, and that is basically where they will stay all day. But with winds in the 15-18 mph range. Oh yeah, thats brutal.

Thursday night will see much deserved clearing, but really, really cold temps. Lows will drop into the mid teens, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see them drop lower with a lack of clouds and slackening winds.

Well, that is all I have for you! Enjoy the next couple of days, because the temps are about to get rough. Make sure to follow @WxOrNotBG and @WarrenCountyWx on Twitter for the latest real-time updates.
