There has been quite a bit of activity on radar up to this point, however, based off of ground reports, not much is reaching the ground.  This is due to dry air located in the lower levels of the atmosphere, causing the snow to evaporate before reaching the ground.

With that being said, our air column is slowly saturating, and this has resulted in snow bands developing to our W, which will move through from mid morning to early afternoon (~9am – 1pm).  Here’s a look at the radar as of 7:55am:

Slick spots will be possible on the roads as temperatures hover just below freezing.  Travel concerns should improve through the afternoon.

Accumulation wise, we’re sticking to our prediction from this morning.  A solid dusting to 1″ is possible.  Not everyone will see snow accumulate, however, localized areas could see up to an inch of the “white gold.”  Again, please use caution if you plan on traveling.  There have been several accidents reported where snow has already fallen.

We’ll be updating the latest real-time weather information @WxOrNotBG and @WarrenCountyWx on Twitter. We’ll have another blog post updating the snow later today.
