Monday’s Bowling Green Weather Update

A weak surface cold front is expected to slide through the Ohio Valley Region late tonight/early Tuesday morning. We’ll keep the chances for a few scattered showers through tonight as the frontal boundary treks across southern Kentucky. Highs this afternoon will be cool as temperatures reach the middle-upper 60’s.

Tonight’s forecast will feature mainly cool conditions as any showery activity will come to an end. The aforementioned cold front will clear the state by early Tuesday morning as high pressure builds into the area. Decreasing clouds and calming winds will allow temperatures to cool off quite a bit. Lows will drop into the mid 40’s for Bowling Green Weather.

Tue – Partly-Mostly Sunny; Nice – High 65º / Tue Night – Mostly Clear; Cold – Low 40º

A weak disturbance will work across northeastern parts of the state as we’ll battle some cloud cover through the afternoon hours. However, no rainfall will be anticipated. Expect a good mix of sun and clouds as highs remain comfortable in the mid 60’s.

By Tuesday night, ridging aloft and Canadian surface high pressure will build across the region. Any cloud cover will across the area will move out as mostly clear skies take over. Overnight lows will be cold as temperatures drop right around 40 degrees. Some valley areas could see upper 30’s.

 

Wed – Mostly Sunny; Chilly – High 61º / Wed Night – Mostly Clear; Cold – Low 37º

Our Wednesday will shape up to be another great day across southern Kentucky. A nice drying trend will set up for the Ohio and Tennessee Valley Region for the next several days as cool, comfortable Fall weather prevails. Surface high pressure will situate itself right across the state as northerly winds keep up cool. Highs will struggle to reach the lower 60’s despite the plentiful sunshine.

Wednesday night will feature the coldest night we’ll see this week. High pressure will keep conditions calm allowing overnight temperatures to drop off. Lows will dip into the upper 30’s with some valley areas hitting the mid 30’s. Some light patchy frost will be possible for these areas early Thursday morning.
