First Snow in Sierra Nevada Mountains

A winter weather advisory is in effect for portions of the Sierra Nevada mountains in Colorado today. Periods of snow are expected to impact the area today, with up to five inches possible in the higher elevations. This is the first snowfall of the season in this region.
