Oakland Elementary Visit

A huge thanks to Oakland Elementary in Oakland, KY for having me take part in their ‘Begin with the end in mind’ Day. I had the privilege to talking to numerous kids about meteorology and storm chasing.  This is my 3rd year being involved with this event, and it continues to grow!  Other volunteers who were present included fire fighters, bankers, attorneys and nurses…among other professions!

I was placed in Mrs. Molly Grimes room, who took the time to prepare this AWESOME banner to welcome me!

Weather education is very important, and as with anything else…it starts with the kids!  Thanks again, Oakland Elementary!
