Good morning, temperatures are starting off on the chilly side today with readings in the upper 40s across southern Kentucky. An upper-level trough is currently centering itself over the eastern U.S. while a surface high sits just to our north. This means another day of cooler weather and very pleasant conditions. Light northerly winds will help make things really feel like fall today as temperatures reach into the middle 70s under sunny skies.

Today will be an excellent day for any outdoor plans. Chilly temperatures are expected to return with our low temperature dropping near 50º tonight.

Monday– Mostly Sunny – High 80º / Mon Night – Mostly Cloudy – Low 59º

Another nice day is expected on Monday as our area will continue to be under the influence of the large upper-level trough. Temperatures will be a few degrees warmer and we may actually make a run for 80°. Skies will be partly cloudy during the day but we will see an increase in cloud cover overnight as showers and storms fire along a frontal boundary to our west.

Despite the increase in clouds, southern Kentucky will dodge the rain tomorrow night as our low temperatures drop into the upper 50s.

Tuesday – Mostly Sunny – High 78º / Tue Night –Partly Cloudy; Cool – Low 53º
