Thursday’s Bowling Green Weather Update

It’s been a dreary day for much of Bowling Green as overcast skies and a few scattered showers have impacted the area. Temperatures have managed to stay on the cooler side as highs have reached the upper 70’s across southern Kentucky.

Look for mostly cloudy conditions to persist for the remainder of your afternoon and evening. Rain chances will diminish tonight as the aforementioned cold front finally works through the area. Otherwise, much cooler and comfortable temperatures will win out as lows dip into the lower 60’s.

A weak upper level trough will work across the region through Friday night. In return, this will provide the spark for a few isolated-scattered showers to develop across Boling Green. Unfortunately, the pesky cloud cover will remain in place as overcast skies will bring another dreary feel to the end of the week.

The nice take away from all of this will be the temperatures. It’ll feel like Fall across southern Kentucky as highs struggle to reach the mid 70’s. Overnight lows will be cool once again while a few showers remain possible through the overnight hours.

 

Sat– Partly Sunny; Comfy – High 71º / Sat Night – Partly Cloudy, Chilly – Low 53º

Now we bring the some good stuff to the table. By the first part of the weekend, slightly cooler air will infiltrate the region as a surface high pressure dives southward across the Central Plains. Partly sunny skies will break out through Saturday afternoon as temperatures only reach the lower 70’s.

The Fall-like weather will continue as we use some natural air conditioning to stay cool. Overnight temperatures will drop into the lower 50’s as under partly cloudy skies. The remainder of your weekend will feature more of the same. Sunday looks to be another great day with highs in the middle 70’s with mostly sunny skies!
