Cool Down Coming For Bowling Green Weather

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today 9/10 – Isolated Thunderstorms – High 90° / Tonight – Scattered Thunderstorms – Low 73°

A large low pressure system will impact our weather quite a bit today. A cold front will stretch from the upper Mississippi and Ohio Valleys down through Texas. This will begin to move to the east over the coming hours. Several showers and thunderstorms will develop along the cold front during the day. The front won’t arrive in Bowling Green until late tonight, thus isolated thunderstorms will be possible in the afternoon hours. Highs will be around 90°.

The cold front will continue to work into the region during the overnight hours. I expect a majority of the showers and thunderstorms to hold off until after midnight. Then, scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible. Some storms may contain gusty wind, heavy rain and vivid lightning. Lows will be around 73°.

Thursday 9/11 – AM Showers; Partly Cloudy – High 79° / Thurs Night – Mostly Clear – Low 58°

Some morning showers will be possible as the cold front continues to exit the region during the morning hours. After the frontal passage, moisture will gradually decrease. Thick cloud cover will likely give way to partly cloudy skies during the afternoon hours. A blast of Fall is here as high temperatures are only expected to reach 79°.

High pressure will work into the region behind the front. This will decrease cloud cover across the region. Generally mostly clear skies are expected overnight with a low of 58°.

Friday 9/12 – Partly Cloudy – High 74° / Fri Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 59°

High pressure will continue to rule over the Bowling Green weather department. This high pressure should keep any rainfall at bay. The high pressure will also keep those conditions pretty nice out there. Partly cloudy skies are possible in the afternoon with a high around 74°. ‘Nuff said.

Friday night will bring a mix of sun and clouds to the region. A weak frontal system will move into the region. However, this will likely only result in a few sprinkles here and there. All in all, it’s a good night for some high school football! Lows will be in the upper 50s.

That should wrap up this post. Be sure to follow @WxOrNotBG on Twitter for all the latest Bowling Green weather details. Have a great day!
