Hot…Hot…And, Hot? Yep, Hot.

Real Time Radar:

Today 9/3 – Partly Cloudy – High 90° / Tonight – Mostly Clear – Low 67°

Early morning commuters use caution…that fog is thick this morning!

The frontal system that brought rain to the region yesterday will move south of the region today. Unfortunately that frontal system won’t do too much to our temperatures across the region. However, some drier air will move into place, which will make things feel a little less humid out there. Nevertheless, you can expect partly cloudy skies during the afternoon with a high of 90°. Get crazy BG, the weather won’t be too bad.

During the evening hours some of those pesky clouds will move out of the region. This will leave us with mostly clear skies in the overnight with a low around 67°.

Thursday 9/4 – Isolated Thunderstorms – High 92° / Thur Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 71°

Upper level ridging will once again work into the region on Thursday. This will help bring a bit of moisture into the region. The track of major storm systems will remain well to the north of the region. This means any widespread rainfall should also stay to the north. With that being said, a few very isolated thunderstorms will be possible on Thursday afternoon after we reach a high of 92°. Yep, be ready to sweat.

Thunderstorms should generally diminish across the region after sundown. Overnight, you can expect partly cloudy to mostly clear skies. Some fog may develop over parts of the area that receive rain and storms. A low temperature of 71°  seems like a good bet.

Friday 9/5 – Isolated Thunderstorms – High 91° / Fri Night – Isolated Thunderstorms – Low 71°

Yeah, that’s right; the Friday forecast is in sight. Get pumped. We’ll see a cold front march toward the region on Friday. This will bring us a trigger for thunderstorms to form in the afternoon and evening hours. Most, if not all, of the upper air support will be located well to the north of the region. Thus, I’ll go with isolated thunderstorms for the region for now. However, with the moist atmosphere in place, coverage should be more scattered than on Thursday. Highs will be in the low 90s.

You should expect thunderstorms to continue into the overnight hours on Friday as the cold front continues to work into the region. A few of the storms may produce gusty winds, heavy rain, and vivid lightning. Lows will be in the low 70s.
