Real-Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

This Afternoon – Mostly Sunny, Pleasant – High 83º / Tonight – Partly Cloudy, Cool – Low 59º

3pm 83º – 6pm 78º – 9pm 69º – 12am 65º – 3am 62º – 6am 59º

Despite some cloud cover early on, our Tuesday has shaped up to be a very nice day across southern Kentucky. The surface cold front has finally worked through the region as a much cooler and drier air mass settles in. In return, afternoon highs have struggled to reach the lower 80’s under clearing skies.

Looking ahead for this evening, expect some fair weather clouds to stick around through the overnight hours as partly cloudy skies prevail. Winds will then shift from our northwest as much cooler air filters in. Tonight, lows will be chilly as temperatures drop into the upper 50’s to right around 60 degrees. Either way you look at it, that’s a win-win situation for mid-August.

Go ahead, be excited…

Wed – Sunny; Beautiful – High 80º / Wed Night – Mostly Clear; Chilly – Low 57º

By Wednesday, conditions will feel more like mid-September than mid-August. Surface high pressure will work into the region from our northwest bringing pleasant conditions by mid-week. Afternoon thermometer readings will barely hit the 80 degree mark for highs while dewpoint values crash into the 50’s.

The sunny skies, cooler temperatures and less humid feel to the air will have many running for the door during their work breaks. But listen, it’s ok if you’re stuck at work. The evening hours will be just as nice. Temperatures will drop into the 70’s during this time as lows eventually bottom out in the upper 50’s.
