Real-time Radar:

Today 8/9 – Scattered Showers & T’Storms – High 87° // Tonight – Isolated Showers – Low 69°

6am 71º – 9am 77º – 12pm 84º – 3pm 87º – 6pm 84º

More beneficial rain fell in Bowling Green yesterday, about .22″ total, and we could see much of the same today as this lingering area of low pressure meanders it’s way off to the east in time. Expect highs in the mid and upper 80s across the region, depending on who sees rain and who sees sunshine, respectively. Here’s a surface map for today at 1pm:

Guidance has any lingering showers or storms dissipating with ease after the sun goes down, no surprise there right? Expect a few isolated showers overnight though, with lows in the upper 60s and near 70. Patchy fog is also possible.

Sunday 8/10 – Isolated Showers & T’Storms – High 89° // Sunday Night – Isolated Showers – Low 70°

Sunday will be an improvement weather wise as precipitation coverage is expected to decrease overall with most of the action shifting to the east. Expect to see highs in the upper 80s with partly sunny skies during the afternoon, with the isolated shower or storm present as well. Enjoy the sun when you can. but plan outdoor activities with readiness to get inside if necessary.

It will be a warm and muggy day overall on Sunday. There may be an isolated shower or storm in the late evening and overnight also,  but otherwise fairly calm with lows around 70. Patchy fog is possible.

Monday 8/11 – Scattered Showers & T’Storms – High 89° // Monday Night – Isolated Showers – Low 70°

Monday is looking like another warm, muggy summer day, but with the help of some incoming upper level support, we’ll see a slightly better chance of precipitation in the morning and afternoon hours. Overall, expect highs in the upper 80s and near 90 for some areas with greatest sunshine.

Below is a map displaying a shortwave trough, indicated by the red line on the left, which is supporting some extra dynamics to increase precipitation probabilities for Monday. These maps are valid at 10am:

Monday evening and night should calm down with lows falling to around 70 once again, patchy fog also possible.

In short, expect warm and muggy conditions the next few days with the ever lingering threat for rain throughout the weekend and forecast period, best chances in the afternoon and evening with daytime heating. We need it though, be happy about it. Otherwise, get outside and enjoy all you can!
