Thursday Morning Update

Real Time Regional Radar:

Today 7/10 – Partly Cloudy; Beautiful – High 87º / Tonight – Mostly Clear – Low 63º

6am 61º – 9am 77º – 12pm 84º – 3pm 86º – 6pm 84º

Good morning, today will be a gorgeous day as high pressure over the Great Lakes region dominates the forecast. This area of high pressure will keep us dry with highs in the mid to upper 80s. Dew points will be around 60° so we won’t be having to deal with humidity.

yesss

Expect skies to remain clear tonight with lows dipping into the lower 60s.

    Fri 7/11 – Mostly Clear; Warmer – High 89º / Fri Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 66º

Friday will be very similar today as upper level ridging takes over and continues to keep things dry and quiet. Afternoon temperatures will be a few degrees higher but otherwise expect a repeat of today. Check out this map showing dew points in the lower to mid 60s tomorrow afternoon. This is not what we are used to in July, but we will certainly take it.

Sat 7/12 – Partly Cloudy, Stray PM T’storm Possible – High 92° / Sat Night – Mostly Cloudy, Mild – Low 71°

As we head into this weekend we will start to see the return of the heat and moisture as winds turn to the south. Look for afternoon highs in the lower 90s and things to start feeling muggy again by Saturday afternoon.

A pretty robust upper level low will begin to descend from Canada this weekend and while this will not bring us any organized precipitation until late Sunday into Monday we can’t rule out a stray pop-up thunderstorm ahead of the low Saturday afternoon.

Expect a few more clouds Saturday night with lows around 70 degrees. It is starting to look like we will have to dodge some rain chances early next week, but a big cool-off may be in store by the middle of next week as this upper level trough moves through. You can check out some of the longer term outlooks here.
