Good morning everybody! Let’s get to the weather for today. A shortwave and associated area of low pressure is passing through the area currently which will provide the necessary dynamics for scattered precipitation this morning and into the early afternoon. Expect this to slowly pass to the east and cloud cover to dominate most of the day.

Winds will shift from the northwest and north as a cold front passes through the area. All of the above will help to keep high temperatures into the upper 70’s across the region. Evening and overnight hours will experience clearing skies and calmer weather with lows in the upper 50’s. Note the map below which is valid for 7am this morning:

Saturday 6/14 – Sunny – High 83º / Saturday Night – Clear & Calm– Low 63º

The trough mentioned earlier will have made it’s exit by Saturday and a ridge will be taking it’s place. Expect excellent weather for Saturday across the region and clear skies to provide a nice shot at highs into the lower 80’s. High pressure will continue it’s dominance into the evening and overnight as well, winds will be calm and areas of patchy fog could develop by Sunday morning. Saturday is looking great, take advantage of it! Dance and party by the pool day!

Sunday 6/15 – Mostly Sunny – High 85º / Sunday Night – Clear & Calm– Low 69º

Expect Sunday to be a repeat of Saturday with slightly higher temperatures the only variation in the weather due to winds shifting from the south ushering in warmer, more moist air. Cloud cover will also increase throughout the day with afternoon heating and higher dewpoints. Furthermore, don’t rule out a stray shower despite the presence of high pressure nearby to our east.

Overall, expect calm weather throughout the evening and overnight hours with temperatures bottoming out to around 70 degrees with patchy fog possible by early morning hours on Monday. Note the warm temperatures and southerly winds as displayed by the image below:
