Good afternoon everyone. The weather this evening and tonight should be acceptable for most folks, but we are currently dealing with a lingering upper low to our north which is slowly trying to depart out of the Great Lakes region and exit to the northeast.

As I currently look outside there are some cumulus clouds beginning to fill into the area and that trend should continue as the day goes on. Visible satellite also indicates a more dense area of low level clouds building in from the northwest as they wrap around the upper level circulation associated with the upper low.

This is due in part of some mid-level energy trying to rotate into the area which also results in the very slight chance of precipitation. Nothing at all major of course but don’t be surprised to see some light rain throughout the evening and overnight hours as we saw last night.

Expect mostly cloudy skies throughout the afternoon and evening hours and temperatures to remain in the lower 60’s for the most part. Temperatures are running about 10 degrees cooler than normal for today, so a light jacket will be needed if you’re out later, especially with the winds being breezy as well. That cloud layer should work its way into the area this evening but shouldn’t pose any significant threat other than limiting sunlight. But as said earlier, very isolated light rain could develop. Otherwise, an enjoyable evening and nothing too much to talk about.

Friday – Mostly Sunny; Winds 10-15mph – High 65˚ / Friday Night – Clear – Low 45˚

Friday will bare a similar resemblance to Thursday as that upper low struggles to move our of the area as NAM guidance suggests. Southwest winds will persist, and with more clear skies, temperatures should be up just a tick from Thursday. Persistent, weak mid-level energy keeps the “R’ word a slight possibility. I wish this pesky upper low would get a hint and get out of here.

Friday evening looks good, however. Mid 60’s throughout the day until temperatures start to drop off into the 50’s as heating begins to die down in the evening. Other than being a bit chilly, the weather is relatively calm with warmer weather forecast for the weekend. (Somebody finally getting that hint.) Yep.

That’s about it for now. Check out @WarrenCountyWx & @WxOrNotBG on Twitter for the latest weather information.  Have a great rest of your Thursday!
