Wednesday Afternoon Update

This Afternoon – Partly Sunny – High 41˚ / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 27˚

3pm 40˚ ~ 6pm 35˚ ~ 9pm 33˚ ~ 12am 30˚ ~ 3am 30˚ ~ 6am 27˚

Low clouds from this morning’s fog has slowly burned off across the region.  This has allowed a few rays of sunshine to break through, which should help temperatures reach the lower 40s this afternoon.  Tonight, a disturbance will evolve to our south, causing an increase in cloud coverage.  Here’s a look at how the current surface conditions are shaping up.  Really not much going on:

Thu – Partly Sunny – High 50˚ / Thu Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 27˚

A system will evolve to our south throughout our Thursday, but it’s not expected to produce any precip across the area, as it tracks east across the Gulf States.  Latest guidance continues to suppress the wet stuff south of the viewing area, which should leave us with a mix of sun and clouds to soak in.  This will continue to promote a warming trend for south central Kentucky, as temps reach into the upper 40s – low 50s.

Fri – Sunny – High 61˚ / Fri Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 36˚

High pressure will take complete control of our pattern as we end the work week.  This is great news, as it will provide us with absolutely BEA-utiful weather conditions.  Southerly winds will coincide with plentiful amounts of sunshine to take temp readings into the lower 60s.  I don’t about you, but that forecast makes me want to hug and kiss someone…

Our next weather maker will be approaching from the west on Saturday, with isolated/scattered rain and snow showers possible Saturday night.  Details are still being ironed out, but this does not look like it will produce anything significant.  Outside of that, the weekend will be partly sunny and tolerable with highs in the 50s.

That’s all I’ve got for the afternoon update.  As always, stay in touch with @WarrenCountyWx & @WxOrNotBG for the latest in weather information.  Everyone have a great rest of your day.  Thanks for reading!
