Same Ole, Same Ole

blah

Cold, chance of snow…blah, blah, blah.

Today 2/10 – Scat’d Snow Showers – High 28˚ / Tonight – Partly Cloudy, Flurries – Low 10˚

6am 23˚ ~ 9am 25˚ ~ 12pm 26˚ ~ 3pm 28˚ ~ 6pm 20˚ ~ 9pm 18˚

A weak disturbance is currently tracking into western Kentucky from the west, which will create the potential for scattered snow showers across the region through early afternoon.

As we saw with last night’s system, minor accumulations will be possible (spotty dusting – 1/2″, with a few localized areas potentially seeing 1″), while some of us receive nothing at all.  Use caution if traveling, as roads may become slick. Here’s a look at the current setup:

This weather maker looks to quickly scoot off to the east, allowing for northerly winds to keep high temperatures suppressed to the mid – upper 20s by mid afternoon.  With any luck, we may even get a glimpse at a few rays of sunshine.  Overnight, the cold will filter in, as lows flirt with single digits.  Dress warm today.  That’s all.

Tues – Partly Sunny – High 31˚ / Tues Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 18˚

Canadian high pressure will build in from the northwest, providing a mix of sun & clouds to go along with another bitter day.  Temps are forecast to rebound into the lower 30s, however, northerly winds will produce wind chills tomorrow morning near 0˚…oh joy!!  Outside of that, nothing to see here.  Keep the warm wardrobe out.

Wed – Partly Cloudy – Iso’d Snow Showers – High 35˚ / Wed Night – Cloudy – Low 20˚

Wednesday will bring with it our next weather maker…one that we’ll have to watch closely.  Models are agreeing on a system intensifying to our south, however, the big question that remains is how far north the precip from this weather maker will travel.  The GFS model below is valid for 12pm Wed, and keeps the precip pushed to our south:

At this point in time, many questions remain regarding this weather maker, as other models have the precip streaming  into our proximity.  I won’t dive into any more details, but you should know the drill by now.

These disturbances are very sporadic, and could produce nothing, or bring us minor accumulations.  I’ll have more info as I get a hold of the latest data through today and tomorrow.

That’s all I’ve got this morning, folks.  As always, stay connected to @WarrenCountyWx & @Wx_Or_Not for the latest on our snow chances this morning.  Have a great day, and thanks for reading.
