Outside of light northerly winds and frigid overnight lows, there’s really not too much to talk about.  Please bring your pets inside.  Don’t forget to disconnect outdoor garden hoses, and if you have livestock, prepare them for potential cold stress.  It’s going to get bitter tonight.

Wed – Sunny – High 28˚ / Wed Night – Clear – Low 15˚

High pressure will continue to have a firm grasp across our proximity.  This means another day of sunny skies.  With flow shifting out of the south, slightly warmer air will send temp values into the upper 20s.  Clear and quiet will continue to have the weather headlines Wednesday night, as lows dip into the mid teens.

Thu – Sunny – High 42˚ / Thu Night – Iso’d Snow Showers – Low 26˚

Our Thursday will have similar characteristics to Wednesday…sunny and warmer.  The area of high pressure will work to our east, which will assist in pumping southwesterly winds over south central Kentucky.

A mix of sun and clouds will coincide with this feature, supplementing a minor catapult in temperatures.  The GFS pressure graphic below is valid for 6am Thursday, and gives you a better idea of what this will look like:

On Thursday night, a weak cold front will track southeast across the Bluegrass State.  With moisture arriving into the region beforehand, we could experience a few isolated snow showers.

Moisture parameters will continue to organize, as temperatures climb above freezing as we get into Friday.  This will cause an increase in rain coverage, which looks to be a kickstart for a soggy weekend.  Rain, sleet and snow all have the potential to make appearances before Monday arrives.  Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to time.

That’s going to be all for now.  Stay in touch with @WarenCountyWx & @Wx_Or_Not for more frequent information.  Enjoy your Tuesday, and thanks for reading.
