Talking to myself in second person after finding out that it’s in fact Thursday…NOT Friday.

Today 12/19 – Partly Sunny & BREEZY – High 60˚ / Tonight – Iso’d Showers – Low 49˚

6am 37˚ ~ 9am 45˚ ~ 12pm 55˚ ~ 3pm 60˚ ~ 6pm 52˚ ~ 9pm 50˚

There’s not much to discuss today.  Our atmosphere looks to remain sunny and dry, as southerly winds amp up to 10-20mph.  This warm, moist airmass that will be advecting into the region will dampen up our atmosphere enough to increase cloud coverage this afternoon, and produce a few stray showers late tonight.

Fri – Scat’d Showers & Storms – High 64˚ / Fri Night – Showers Likely – Low 56˚

Showers will become more scattered as we get into Friday, with the potential for a few rumbles of thunder on the table as well.  We can thank a stalled cold front that will be located to our northwest along the Ohio River for this.  Our atmosphere will only continue to moisten up Friday night, setting up an absolute soaker for Saturday.  Another rainy weekend?  Why not…

Cheers to all of the weekend grill warriors out there…

Sat – Showers & Storms Likely – High 67˚ / Sat Night – Showers & Storms Likely – Low 60˚

A series of disturbances will track along the stalled front, as it slowly begins to shift eastward across the Bowling Green and surrounding area.  As this occurs, the atmosphere will become very moisture-rich, creating the potential for torrential rainfall, along with strong thunderstorms.  It’s no reason to evacuate with all of your personal belongings…just know that localized flooding will be possible possible.

Conditions should settle as we get into our Sunday, with lingering showers making way to cloudy skies.  Total rainfall amounts from Friday – Sunday could exceed 3-4+”.  This is supported by the GFS rainfall model, valid through 9am Sunday morning:

GFS model rainfall totals through 12pm Sunday
GFS rainfall totals through 12pm Sunday

That’s all I’ve got for the morning forecast update.  I’ll return this afternoon with another forecast post.  Until then, stay connected via Twitter for more frequent updates.  Enjoy the sun while you can, and thanks for reading.
