Arctic air looks to be moving into the region next week. We could be seeing temperatures up to 25 degrees below normal for this time of year. If you don’t like winter, you may want to head south…to Brazil.
Brad Panovich posted a blog that details the possible Arctic blast. One of the many reasons for the outbreak is a large storm in the Pacific, Typhoon Nuri, which will move east toward Alaska and cause a large dip in the jet stream over the eastern U.S.
The GFS and EURO model’s are both suggesting temperatures 15 – 25 degrees below normal for this time of year. The graphic below is in degrees celsius.
