Moisture from Hurricane Odile is expected to move across the south west United States into the central Plains, bringing much need rain to drought stricken areas.

Due to Odile, the 7 day precipitation outlook features some decent rainfall across much of these drought areas. Check out the latest 7 day precipitaion outlook from the WPC:
So it appears Odile will bring good news to parts of the U.S. closer to the coast, torrential rains and heavy winds may lead to some damage. However, the largest impacts of that sort will remain near Baja California and north west Mexico.
