Welcome to Monday and a new week, everyone! I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Not only did Delta bring some persistent showers, it also brought the warmer temps as well. We will see a brief warm-up before a late week cooldown this week as a new system moves through.
Above Average Columbus Day
As we start week 41 of the 52 weeks of the year, we will be feeling some unseasonably warm temperatures. Average highs for this time of year are around 73°, but our highs today will sit around 80°.
However, Monday won’t shake the dreariness completely. We could start the day with some fog followed by some partly cloudy skies. During the afternoon hours we will see a cold front push through that could bring some showers to the area.
Don’t expect these showers to last very long, though, and we can expect drier nighttime hours as clouds finally start to push out of the area. Despite warm highs, lows will drop into the chilly upper 40’s.
Dry Weather Finally Arrives
As we work our way through the work week, conditions look to greatly improve! Tuesday and Wednesday will both see beautiful sunny skies. Much needed after that dreary weekend! Tuesday’s temperatures will also cool slightly into the low 70’s, while Wednesday’s temperatures warm back to the upper 70’s.
By the time Thursday rolls around, another cold front is forecasted to move through bringing another chance for some rain.
Much Cooler Air for the Wekeend
Big changes are in store for the weekend as a polar airmass dives over the Eastern US. Temperatures are looking to drop 10° or more below average, meaning we could see some upper 50’s for highs! Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to that timeframe.
