A Wet Weekend Ahead

Welcome, WABBLES! Glad you could make it this morning. It’s been dry for the first half of the week, but changes are coming as a cold front approaches, making for a wet weekend ahead.

Scattered Showers Today

The cold front is still a few states away, but that doesn’t mean we won’t feel it’s influence today. Out ahead of it, winds will flow from the south and bring warmer air with it. That means our temperatures today will be warmer than what we’ve been seeing. Expect highs in the lower 60’s today. It could also get a little windy, with sustained winds blowing around 10-15 mph.

An associated warm front is what will be responsible for our rain chances today, however. Scattered showers are suggested to move in around lunchtime today, but nothing too heavy. They’ll move out by this evening. Lows tonight will drop to around 50 degrees.

Rounds of Rain Ahead

It gets interesting this weekend. The cold front is looking to pass through early Friday morning and bring the wet weather with it. The rain looks to last through the day and into the afternoon hours. Right now we’re looking at about half an inch of rain for Friday.

Temperatures cool off some too with the cold front passage. High temperatures for Friday may only reach about 50 degrees.

After a short break from the rain Friday evening, a surface low pressure develops and brings a second round of rain Friday night into Saturday morning. Saturday highs will hang out around 50 degrees, with the rain ending around lunchtime.

Warming Up for the New Week

After we move the wet weather out of our area, we will start to quiet down for the new week. High pressure takes over, so our skies will clear out and temperatures warm up. Highs look to be around average in the upper 50’s and we’ll see more sunshine as well. Sounds like a great start to the week!

It won’t be cold and rainy? What a surprise!
