Quiet Weather in the Coming Days

Good morning, everyone! Glad you could make it this morning. We’ve had quite the active weather pattern here recently, but things are about to calm down a little as we expect quiet weather in the coming days.

Gone but not forgotten! (WCBI – TV)

Dry Cold Front Moves Through

With the sun’s return, we saw a lot of the remaining snow and ice melt yesterday (Butler County Schools, however, are out again today). The rest should go today as our temperatures warm into the mid 40’s ahead of a cold front. Don’t worry, though, because limited moisture will keep this front dry. Instead, we’ll have plentiful sunshine with only a few clouds.

Winds will shift from the north after the front passes this evening, helping us cool down into the mid 20’s tonight. Still beats single digits!

Gradual Warming This Weekend

A high pressure will take over this weekend and give us a break from the clouds and cold fronts for a little while. Friday will see temperatures back in the mid 40’s under sunny skies, after some morning fog burns off. It might be warmer than what we’ve seen recently, but temperatures will still be about 15 degrees below average.

Lows Friday night will drop into the mid 20’s again. However, sunny skies will help us warm up ever so slightly on Saturday into the upper 40’s. It might be a little chilly, but compared to what we’ve seen recently, it will be a nice weekend!

Approaching Average, but Dry

The quiet weather continues as we start the new week. Sunshine will stick around as temperatures slowly creep towards average conditions, which is around 60 degrees for WABBLES. We will also be much drier due to limited moisture availability and dominant high pressures.

This will be a welcomed break from the record cold and snow. We’re about halfway through the fall season, so we’ll see how the rest of fall turns out.

That finishes today’s forecast. Thanks for reading! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotBG, as well as on Facebook, for all your weather updates. Enjoy the sunshine!
