Nice Start but a Stormy Finish to the Weekend

We started Friday on the wetter side but eventually cleared out as we finished off the day. And that, folks, is setting up for a great Saturday…but that’s not the whole story. We’ll see a nice start but a stormy finish to the weekend.

Sunshine on Saturday

The frontal system from yesterday has moved south of us and high pressure will be settling in for a short stay to kick off (😉) our weekend.

Partly cloudy skies will be around this afternoon along with pleasant temperatures around 80º or so and humidity values much nicer than expected for late August.

Quite a pleasant afternoon, the kind we haven’t had in a little bit of time. And let me tell you, I’m here for it.

The nice weather rolls into tomorrow night as we fall to a low around 65º with those nice, dry partly cloudy skies.

Sunday Sunshine Turns to Storms

The back half of your weekend starts on another nice note…but things will be changing as we head into the afternoon hours.

High pressure is moving on out and that means moisture and storm chances will move on back in as southwesterly winds kick back up.

Highs outside of any storms will get back up to about 83º or so. Rain chances continue overnight, lows only fall to around 70º.

New Week, Same Weather

Monday looks like a repeat of Sunday afternoon with yet another chance of afternoon storms as yet another disturbance moves through the area.

Keep the rain gear handy as the chance for more scattered storms greets us again for Monday afternoon. Highs once again reach a muggy 81º or so. Not exactly the best weather if you’re headed back up the hill for the first day of class at WKU.

Shower and storm chances last through the evening and overnight as we head for a low near 70º.

Stuck on Repeat

Highs reach back into the mid 80s for much of the week as wave-after-wave have the chance to touch off a chance for afternoon shower or storm. Meteorological Summer ending on a very summery note.
