Dry Wednesday Before Storm Chances Return

Good morning friends, and happy Hump Day! With the frontal passage, we had some picturesque storms with lots of dangerous lightning last night. Luckily, the forecast entails a dry Wednesday before storm chances return.

Dry and Sunny

Thanks to the passing cold front, we’ll have a nice weather forecast for our Wednesday.

Even though the cold front passed, we won’t see a noticeable change in temperatures. Highs will top out this afternoon around 88ºF. The noticeable change will be lower humidity, making the 88ºF much more tolerable. Dry air will be pumped into the area thanks to winds from the northwest.

Clear skies will continue from the daytime hours into the overnight. Calm winds and clear skies will make for a nice evening to enjoy outside. The minimum temperature is expected to be around 67ºF.

Another Round of Storms Possible

We’ll start our Thursday off with sunny skies, but there is an increasing chance of seeing some showers and storms later on. Models are mainly thinking that the greatest chance will be Thursday evening.

We may see a few showers pop up tomorrow afternoon due to daytime heating, but models are not hinting at any. Afternoon temperatures will be rather warm, getting into the 90ºF range.

Showers and storm chances continue into the overnight, but there is some model disagreement. There will be another weak front passing through, so thinking we should see some overnight precipitation.

Expect a better handle on this by tomorrow’s blog update. Otherwise, temperatures will be around 72ºF, a bit warmer than the previous night low temperatures.

Pop-up Storms for Friday

Friday brings the chance of pop-up afternoon storms. With the passing of that weak front Thursday night, any storms on Friday should remain marginal at best. Being in the wake of another front, temperatures will once again be a little “cooler”, only topping out around 86ºF.

By the evening hours, skies will be clearing out. Under mostly clear skies, temperatures will be around 67ºF. It will be a nice night for any outdoor activities to kick off the weekend. These clear skies will stick around into Saturday as well.
