A few scattered storms will work into our area by 4 PM, which could make your evening commute a little more challenging than usual. Storms are not expected to be severe, and most of us should stay dry.

A pop up storm will be possible into the nighttime hours, but there is some disagreement between the weather models. Overnight temperatures will drop to around 70ºF.

Another Hot Day Ahead

Winds will be out of the southwest at 10-15 mph, which will help drive up temperatures once again for our Thursday. Afternoon temperatures will reach the 90ºF range.

Skies will remain mostly sunny throughout the day. By the nighttime hours, temperatures will bottom out to around 67ºF, quite the relief from the toasty daytime temperatures.

Sunny and Hot Continues for Weekend

It will be a perfect weekend to open the pool and wear a bunch of sunscreen. High pressure sets up in the area, helping to keep summer-like conditions into the weekend.

Friday: Sunny skies will dominate once again, with toasty temperatures reaching 91ºF. Winds will continue to be out of the southwest thanks to the locations of the high pressure to our southeast. It will be a good day to enjoy the pool or get tan. Low temperatures will drop to a refreshing 65ºF.

Saturday: Not much change to the forecast for our Saturday. Sunny skies will help warm up temperatures to 90ºF. The GFS has been trending to some light showers for Saturday. We will keep eyes on if this will change. Overnight temperatures will be near 69ºF.

Sunday: Some rain chances are possible to end the weekend. Hopefully this won’t dampen any Memorial Day parties. Temperatures will be around 90ºF during the day. By the nighttime hours, temperatures will be dropping to 67ºF.

That wraps up today’s forecast. Hope you have a great Wednesday and rest of the week! Make sure to look for the Afternoon Video Update on Facebook and the Afternoon Weather Story on Twitter/Instagram, only on @wxornotBG.
