Rainy and Possibly Stormy Start to the Weekend

We are still warming up after a frigid start to the week but, unfortunately, the warmup could accompany some soggy weather as we face a rainy and possibly stormy start to the weekend.

Showery for Friday

Southwesterly wind take hold during the day on Friday as we see a storm system move toward the area that will provide a chance for off-and-on showers throughout the day.

It won’t rain all day but you’ll want to keep the umbrella and/or jacket handy just in case you’re caught under one today.

We’ll find highs this afternoon right around 60º as we’ll be firmly in the warm sector of this storm with continuing southwesterly flow. Rain chances ramp up during the overnight hours, keeping temperatures mild and the ground soggy.

Low at night only fall to about 55º with clouds and rain stick around into the early morning hours on Saturday.

Strong Storm or Two Saturday?

Even with clouds and showers around Saturday, we’ll still stay warm thanks to southwesterly winds associated with another approaching potent storm system, one that could give us a chance of storms to start December.

We’ve got quite the dynamic system headed our way, that’s going to provide us with strong southwesterly winds and a chance at a few strong storms. However, it’s still not set in stone.

If we do get thunderstorms popping in the afternoon, they’ll come with the possibility of strong gusty winds, small hail and, while not at all likely we can never rule out a small spin-up tornado. Because of this possibility, we remain in a marginal risk for severe weather tomorrow.

Check back with us over the next 24 hours for the latest. In any case, high temperatures look to soar to around 68º in the afternoon. Overnight, we’ll start to clear out but only fall to about 50º.

Sunny On Sunday

Once we get storms out of here late Saturday night, we’re set up for an absolutely gorgeous Sunday. While it will remain breezy, it will also remain warm, with highs remaining near 65º. Perfect parade weather for all of those rescheduled Christmas parades around the area.
