Fall Conditions Are Within Sight

Good morning, Kentucky! I hope everyone’s week is off to great start. We are slowly but surely transitioning into more ideal weather. With a cold front headed our way, fall conditions are within sight.

Today

The high for today will reach the upper-80s with dew points lingering in the upper-60s. Winds will be light out of the southeast and precipitation chances look to be minimal at this point. Our skies will be partly cloudy and the low will dip down to the upper-60s. Overall, we’re looking at a fair day with pretty warm temperatures and high dew points.

We will stay dry today but Wednesday will be a different story. (WPC)

Wednesday

By Wednesday we will be one step closer to these fall conditions that I’ve been talking about. A cold front will approach from the west and come over our area on Thursday, which will bring us dry conditions with lower temperatures and lower dew points. Tomorrow, however, we will have rain chances all day. The high will reach into the upper-70s with dew points in the low-70s. The winds will shift from southeast to northwest throughout the day as that cold front marches through. Precipitation chances will increase as draw towards the afternoon with the greatest chances occurring after lunch time. Rumbles of thunder cannot be ruled out and it looks like the rain will continue throughout the overnight hours.

Expect rain chances throughout the entire day. (WPC)

Thursday

By the time Thursday morning rolls around, Fall conditions will have arrived. The rain will be gone and the temperature and dew points will have fallen. The high will be in the upper-60s with dew points in the… wait for it… low-50s! Winds will be light out of the northeast and precipitation chances are nearly non-existent. The low will drop to the upper-50s and cloud cover will decrease throughout the day and into the overnight hours.

The rain will be moving out of the area by the time we start our day on Thursday. (WPC)
