Hey folks, today and tomorrow will feature widespread showers and storms and highs in the mid 80’s giving us a couple soggy days before a dryer weekend.
Widespread Showers and Storms Today and Tomorrow
Keep your umbrella handy for the frequent rounds of showers and storms today all the way through late tomorrow night. Highs will peak in the muggy mid 80’s each day during the breaks in the storms.
The storms today and tomorrow will have a low chance of becoming severe with their main threat being damaging winds. Another threat from these storms will be localized flooding if several move across the same area over and over.
Dryer Weekend
Isolated showers are possible on Saturday and Sunday, and high temperatures will again be in the mid 80’s.
Remember that “cold” front that is making today and tomorrow soggy? It will move just south of our region this weekend and become stationary, spurring some showers to form especially in the southern part of our region. Overall, it will be dryer this weekend than today though.
Another Low Pressure System Possible Early Next Week
The latest model guidance has another low pressure system moving in early next week that will provide us another chance for heavy rain and perhaps a brief cool down. Follow @wxornotbg for the latest updates.
