Mother Nature is starting to turn that thermostat back up as mid-May is right around the corner and it is certainly acting that way outside. In fact, this weekend will feel like summer.

Friday? More like FRY-day, amirite?

But seriously though, things may start to sizzle today as we’ll be under the influence of high pressure to sitting to our southeast and that will allow wind coming up from the south and southwest which will pump more heat and humidity into our region.

This air is coming from the Gulf of Mexico and it’s going to be soupy air as the humidity factor will definitely increase. Temperatures will be right around the 90º mark this afternoon with breezy southwesterly winds. The good news is that we’ll stay dry, with only a some cumulus clouds to dot the skyscape. After the sun goes down, we’ll only drop down to around 65º as the breezes lighten up.

More of the Same as Saturday Sizzles

Rinse and repeat on Saturday (or rather, no rinse since there’ll have no rain in sight).

We’ll keep the southwesterly winds coming in and the sun beating down under mostly sunny skies. The closest chance of precipitation will be to our north and west along a stationary boundary that will park itself around the Ohio River, keeping us dry.

Temperatures will top out once again around 90º, especially if we see fewer clouds that we will today. Sunscreen will be a requirement for outdoor plans both today and tomorrow, as will adequate water breaks. At night, we fall back to around 65º again under mostly clear skies.

More of the same for Sunday, if not hotter. Highs will top out around 91º as we introduce more humidity into the forecast to round out the weekend. Still only some cumulus clouds to block out the sun for a second or two, so keep the sunscreen handy.
