Good Sunday morning to the fine folks of south-central Kentucky! I hope that everyone is doing well, and I’m sure you’ll be doing a bit better after this forecast. A beautiful stretch of weather is anticipated, and I am excited!
Partly SUNny on SUNday
Some of us, especially over our western counties, are waking up to some patchy fog this morning. Skies became partly cloud last night, leading to the development of some fog.
Outside of that? Today is expected to be absolutely beautiful. The low pressure system that ruined Derby for many people has moved off to our east, and has left behind nice weather!
Temperatures are expected to jump to around 79ºF or 80ºF this afternoon, but this is ahead of a secondary cold front headed our way. The warm temps should help the front force partly cloudy skies, and scattered storms this afternoon.
I don’t think it’ll be a wash out by any means, but it’ll be inconvenient to have more rain this afternoon.
The cold front ushers in a cooler and drier air mass, with temps falling into the lower 50s (~53ºF).
Non-Manic Monday
Folks, I love 80s music. I can tell you, though, that this won’t be another Manic Monday weather wise.
As a nice high pressure system settles into the region, anticipate beautiful weather. We’re expecting drier air, and temperatures in the lower 70s (72ºF). Additionally, a nice northerly breeze will make it feel pristine.
It is the perfect weather, at least in my opinion. If there is any way for you to get outside, Monday evening is the time to do it.
Expect clear skies overnight, with lows in the upper 40s (~48ºF).
Terrific Tuesday!
Don’t want to sound like a broken record, but sans Derby Day, the past week has been filled with subheadings like this! We have had one of the nice stretches of weather in quite sometime.
The high pressure system will still be hanging out across the region, and with surface northerly flow, should keep things pleasant again! Highs are expected to be in the low to mid 70s (~73ºF).
I am excited about this forecast, and I hope you are as well! A beautiful stretch of weather is anticipated, and it is one you’ll want to enjoy. Have a great day, and be sure to follow @wxornotBG on Twitter/Facebook for the latest.
