We are a bit concerned for the possibility of isolated storms developing ahead of the main line. Some of the higher resolution models are indicating the threat for this to happen. If we get isolated storms, they will have the potential to produce very large hail and tornadoes.

The main threat is expected to move into the region between 7 and 9 pm this evening, bringing the potential for widespread damaging winds and isolated tornadoes to the region.

The HRRR develops the isolated storms ahead of the line, and then brings a strong line of storms through the region. h/t COD Weather
