After an incredibly busy weekend last week and what feels like rain that won’t end, we finally have good news as we finish this week…finally, a quiet weekend.

Fantastic, if Chilly, Friday

We’re now well behind the cold front that brought us the breezy and showery weather yesterday and it’s being replaced by high pressure slinking in from the north and west.

Northwest winds mean only a few things and you guessed them: cooler temperatures and dryer weather.

We’ll get the rest of those clouds out of here while only topping out around 50º for a high. Hope you’ve still got those hoodies handy…and you’re going to want to keep them on at night as we head back to around 30º with the clear skies sticking around.

Same on Saturday

I mean, if you like today, tomorrow is your kind of day too. We’ve got essentially the same weather conditions headed your way.

We’ve got highs around the 50º mark with beautiful sunny skies remaining overhead thanks to that high pressure. It’ll allow us to get pretty chilly tomorrow night as well, with lows dropping once again to near 30º.

Even Better on Sunday

Now this is how you make up for a gloomy week. High pressure begins to nudge it’s way off to the east of the region, allowing our winds to switch to the west-southwest. And I’m okay with that because it means dry skies continue…with warmer temperatures.

We’re going to make a run at 60º before a few clouds try to filter in during the late day hours. Those clouds will keep a check on the temperatures at night. They’re still going to be chilly but something about 35º just sounds better than 30º, especially now that we’re in March.

A Peek Ahead

We might see a few showers to start our workweek but nothing like what we had the past two weeks…just don’t put that rain gear away quite yet.

That just about does it for me! Follow our live weather feed @wxornotbg for the latest. Have a terrific Friday!
