Today – Partly cloudy, hot & humid with chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms this afternoon – High 89°/Tonight – Scattered showers and thunderstorms – Low 70°
Brace yourselves, it is getting hawt around here.
Today our temperatures are going to be pressing that ninety degree mark, which as if that isn’t bad enough, our dew points will be hanging out in the low seventies which is downright oppressive. Be sure to drink plenty of water this afternoon if you plan on being outdoors, you’ll be needing it.
As for our shower chances, this afternoon expect to see a few summer-like pop-up showers and thunderstorms in the heating of the day. However, as we head into the overnight hours our next disturbance will aid in triggering more scattered to widespread showers and storms.
Independence Day – Partly cloudy, hot & humid with chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms – High 85°/Tonight – Scattered showers and thunderstorms – Low 69°
Unfortunately, if you have outdoor plans for the Fourth of July it’s probably a good idea to have some sort of indoor/shelter in place because rain is in the forecast.
With yet another disturbance moving through our area, much like today, we can expect some showers and thunderstorms throughout tomorrow and into tomorrow evening. With this activity, lightning is possible so please don’t be that guy. If you hear thunder, or see flashes of lightning you should find shelter either in a home/building or, worst case scenario, your vehicle.
Wednesday – Partly cloudy, hot & humid with chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon – High 89°/Tonight – Scattered showers and thunderstorms – Low 71°
By Wednesday, expect a repeat of today essentially. Hot and humid with some pop-up showers and storms in the heating of the day with shower and storm chances overnight.
