It’s Hot…That is All

Today – Mostly Sunny – High 88° / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 65°

A hot and humid air mass is in place across the region thanks to big ol’ upper level ridge. Stable atmospheric conditions can be expected, but the hot and humid weather may make things a bit uncomfortable outside. Highs today will top out in the upper 80s across the region. Under mostly sunny skies the UV Index will be high for much of the eastern United States, meaning it will only take about 15 minutes for sunburn to occur.

Partly cloudy skies should bring lows into the mid 50s overnight.

Wednesday – Partly Cloudy – High 90° / Wed Night – Mostly Clear – Low 70°

Stronger southwest flow aloft will move into the region on Wednesday as the ridge begins to break down and move east. Under southwest flow, expect temperatures to creep up some from Tuesday. Highs will top out around 90° in most locations. Expect relatively windy conditions to develop during the late morning and afternoon as south winds of 5 – 15 mph gust up to 35 mph.

Mostly clear skies overnight will bring lows to around 70°.

Thursday – Partly Cloudy – High 86° / Thur Night – Isolated Storms Late – Low 67°

Upper level flow should weaken some on Thursday. Residual cloud cover may overspread the region from weakening storms north of the Ohio River on Wednesday evening. Expect partly cloudy skies to stick around most of the day. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s. Southwest winds will be cranking 5 – 15 mph with gusts as high as 25 mph possible. Honestly, if you’re trying to find something to complain about in this forecast; it’ll be hard.

A few isolated thunderstorms may develop late overnight on Thursday and into Friday morning. This is in association with widespread divergence noted across the region. No severe weather is expected.
