Forecast Discussion

Herein lies a very wet forecast for the region. Daily rain chances will make it more difficult to enjoy the warm weather we’re having, but it sure beats sunny and 20°!

A stationary front has parked itself over the region this morning. This is leading to widespread showers across the area. Expect these showers to stick around for most of the day. Once the front begins to lift out of the region as a warm front, southerly winds will help push temperatures into the mid 60s!

Once the warm front clears the area, rainfall should begin to diminish by the late afternoon and early evening hours. Temperatures won’t drop off much overnight as southerly winds and clouds keep temperatures in the 60s across the area.

Thursday will bring more rainfall to the region. The front will begin to move back south on Thursday, becoming a cold front. This will approach the region by late afternoon and early evening. Scattered showers will be brought with it.

Beforehand though, temperatures will continue to climb under southerly surface flow. Highs will approach 70° during the afternoon hours on Thursday! Too bad these temperatures won’t stick around forever!

Thursday night the cold front will pass south of the region. This will lead to a fairly quick drop in temperatures. Expect lows to be around 45°.

Friday will bring a day of chilly weather to the region. Temperatures will be warmest in the morning hours as temperatures drop throughout the day. AM temperatures in the mid 40s will drop to around 40 by early evening. Isolated showers will be possible throughout the day and overnight on Friday.

Looking Ahead

Temperatures look to slowly rebound over the weekend. Temperatures on Saturday may get back into the mid 50s as the warm front moves back into the area. Sunday temperatures look to be in the upper 50s, and we make our way back into the 60s by early next week! Rain chances linger into Saturday, then return on Tuesday.
