Forecast Discussion
*Hazardous Weather Outlook*
If we look at the radar, currently a few scattered light showers are making their way across the region this morning. But don’t get your hopes up, keep that rain gear handy because the heavier stuff will be making it’s way back into Bowling Green this afternoon just ahead of a strong cold front that is barreling towards us as we speak.
Thanks to some sweet southerly flow, Bowling Green will have another very warm day where some records might be shattered once again. Expect temperatures to top out near 75 degrees this afternoon with very gusty winds. It’s not a bad idea to make sure any outdoor holiday decorations are tied down extra tight, or even taken down not to risk them being damaged or blown away.
According to the models, the timing of this event looks to be right around dinner time, so bring your rain gear if you’re headed out this evening. Also, be prepared for a few rumbles of thunder and strikes of lightning as they can’t be ruled out.
Tomorrow looks to quiet down quite a bit as high pressure moves in behind the front giving us a much drier and cooler day. Temperatures will top out in the upper 40s under partly sunny skies.
Wednesday and Wednesday night looks to be our next chance of rain as another cold front marches our way. Timing with the models is still unclear but it looks like rain will likely begin in the afternoon and continue into the overnight hours. We’ll be sure to have the latest for you here at WxorNot!
