I am a huge fishing fan. I am an avid fly fisher, and try to fish two or three times a week during the summer. It is just a way to decompress and think. I know a ton of people who fish too, so I know having a forecast for the hotspots across the state will be key in knowing where to go or not go! If there are any other places we should add, just let us know and we will.
I’ll rank the weather for the weekend as a whole on a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 being the worst and 10 being “you’ve gotta go fishing”. Additionally, I’ll link the names to the latest fishing report that I can find. Well, here is your Friday Fishing Forecast for the weekend of July 23-24.

The biggest issue that we will have this weekend is that thunderstorms are likely, especially in the western portion of the state. The further southeast that you go in the state, the better the weather looks. A ridge over the Atlantic is looking to build into the eastern US, and the western extent may establish itself across southeastern KY. This will keep storms off in the western part of the state. If you plan to fish in western KY, you may want to cancel on that, especially in the case of lightning of dangerous rainfall rates.
