This include our entire coverage area of Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmondson, Logan, Simpson and Warren counties, but also extends northeastward into central Kentucky, including Lexington and Frankfort. This is in response to a batch of heavy rainfall that is moving northeastward across the same areas slowly, and it has already dropped plenty of rainfall across the region.

Bowling Green is approaching 2" of rainfall, with the majority of that falling since 9:30 this morning. h/t KY Mesonet

With high moisture content remaining across the region, be aware that heavy rainfall should last for the next 1-3 hours. The HRRR model is performing well with placement of the heaviest radar reflectivities right now, and has rainfall moving out of the region by 3 PM.
