Real-Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:
Today 11/1 – Mostly cloudy; chance of PM scat’d showers – High 68/Tonight – Cloudy; scat’d showers – Low 55
Good morning, Bowling Green and happy first day of November! Today should turn out to be pretty nice but a low pressure system moving up from the Gulf will give us rain chances this afternoon and into tomorrow. Models are showing most of the rain staying to the south until this evening.
Temperatures will be on the rise for this week as an upper level ridge settles in over most of the eastern U.S., making highs well above average for this time of year. November will definitely be off to a warm start.
Monday 11/2 – Mostly cloudy; slight chance of AM scat’d showers – High 70/Monday Night – Partly cloudy – Low 53
The low pressure system will keep rain chances around for early Monday morning as it heads off to the east. An upper level ridge will continue building over our region which will keep things pretty quiet for most of the week.
Highs will be near 70 degrees across southern Kentucky on Monday and will be even warmer Tuesday.
I really just want it to start getting consistently cold outside. My sweaters are starting to get a little toasty in this 70 degree weather.
Tuesday 11/3 – Mostly sunny – High 74/Tuesday Night – Partly cloudy – Low 55
With the upper level ridge almost centered over the eastern U.S. on Tuesday, warm southerly air will be pulled up by a low-level jet and our high temperatures will be about 10 degrees higher than normal.
High pressure will keep the skies clear on Tuesday but an approaching cold front from the Midwest will increase rain chances later in the week. I hope you have a fantastic rest of the weekend!
