A cold front is located to the west of the region today. This will move through the region tonight. However, the increasing pressure gradient ahead of the front will lead to breezy conditions with winds out of the south around 10-20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph possible. Highs will top out around 80°.
Tonight will bring the passage of the cold front. Scattered showers, with perhaps some embedded thunder, will form along the cold front. Some locally gusty winds may be possible embedded in the isolated thunderstorms. After the front passes, lows will be around 50°.
Tuesday 10/13 – Mostly Clear; Breezy – High 67° / Tue Night – Mostly Clear – Low 45°
High pressure will begin to settle into the region on Tuesday after the cold front clears the region. Cooler, dry air will advect into the region. This should lead to mostly clear skies for our Tuesday. Wind will be out of the west around 10-15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. This may make conditions a little chilly as highs are only expected to reach around 67°. You shouldn’t need a coat though, Beyonce.
Mostly clear skies will stay in place Tuesday night. Lows will be around 45°.
Wednesday – Mostly Clear – High 68° / Wed Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 44°
High pressure will be centered just to the west of the region. This will keep the dry air in place across the area. Thus, you can expect mostly clear conditions on Wednesday. Winds will once again be out of the west around 5 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph possible. Highs will be around 68°. Wait, what’s that in the forecast? Is that a triangle? Square?
High pressure will continue to build across the area overnight. However, a longwave trough will advect cooler air in the upper atmosphere, allowing for partly cloudy skies to form. Lows will be around 44°.
