A cold front will approach the region from the north. This, combined with remnant outflow boundaries from this morning’s storms, will aid in the development of lift across the region. With temperatures reaching around 85° in a fairly moist environment, large amounts of instability are forecast to develop. This will further aid in the development of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

While severe weather is not a major concern at this time, a few storms may be strong with gusty winds. Heavy rain will accompany any of the thunderstorms, as well as vivid lightning. Thunderstorms should weaken and dissipate to isolated showers in the overnight. Lows will be around 73°.

Tuesday 8/11 – Partly Cloudy; Nice – High 84° / Tue Night – Mostly Clear – Low 66°

The front will pass through the region on Monday night. This will help keep temperatures a bit lower as flow from every level of the atmosphere will be out of the north. Thus, cooler, drier air will move into the region over the next several days.

As a consequence, much nicer weather will be in town for the next several days. Tuesday will bring partly cloudy skies to the region with a high around 84°. Some isolated, brief showers can’t be completely ruled out. However, most will stay dry.

Clouds should move out of the region on Tuesday night, allowing for lows to drop into the mid 60s.

Wednesday 8/12 – Partly Cloudy; Nice – High 81° / Wed Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 60°

Wednesday will be a rinse and repeat forecast from Tuesday with just slightly lower temperatures. Most of the moisture will also depart the region, so it will feel much more comfortable outside. Overall, partly cloudy skies can be expected, with a high around 81°.
