Today 8/7 – Mostly cloudy until PM; nice! – High 83/Tonight – Mostly clear – Low 67
Good Morning! Yesterday was pretty soggy out there as a slow-moving cold front brought rain and cooler temperatures to the area. The commute home yesterday would have been much easier with a rowboat.
On the bright side, the cold front is to our south, the rain has moved out, and temperatures in the low 80s will make for a very comfortable day! Even better news – dew points will be in the mid 60s so humidity will definitely not be an issue.
Saturday 8/8 – Mostly sunny – High 88/Saturday Night – Partly cloudy – Low 71
Saturday also looks to be pretty nice with high temperatures between 85-90 degrees for some areas, but dew points should remain in the mid 60s. Clouds could increase Saturday evening and overnight as a low pressure system moves closer to the area.
Temperatures will be on the rise for the rest of the weekend and so will the humidity.
Sunday 8/9 – Mostly sunny – High 93/Sunday Night – Partly cloudy – Low 73
Sunday will unfortunately not be as nice as the previous two days thanks to a low pressure system pulling up warm, humid air from the Gulf. Surface dew points on Sunday afternoon show a well-defined stream of higher dew points moving right through our area.
No rain is expected with this system since it will likely be too far away from us, however, it will be the culprit of very uncomfortable temperatures on Sunday. I know you’re used to it by now – what’s a summer day in BG without a little humidity?
