Real-time BG Radar:

Well, yesterday was pretty wild! Just check out some of these shots from the region (with a major shoutout to the Twitter accounts of some major writers for WxOrNot).

The next few days look substantially quieter than their predecessors. Today will begin the relatively nice stretch of weather around the region. The cold front will be passing through the region overnight, ushering in a relatively cooler and drier air mass.
While those are both relative terms, the fact is that it will at least feel…. ahhh, who am I kidding? Today is basically gonna follow suit. It’ll still be humid. Still warm (mid to upper 80s). Because of this, look out for an isolated storm by evening time.
I mean, it is summer. What more do you expect from the atmosphere?
Look for temps to be a warm and muggy 65 degree for a low overnight under mostly clear skies.
Wednesday: Rinse and repeat. Hot, isolated storm. Muggy. High of 90ºF. Wed. night: Mostly clear, with a low around 70ºF.
Midway through this forecast, I realized it was boring enough to deem worthy of a GIF forecast!!
I’m pretty stoked about this because forecast maps showing 90 degree temps across the region can only be so interesting, right?
Anyways, this day will basically fall in line with the other ones. With high pressure remaining over the region, its lookin’ like today is gonna be another day straight outta the “Worst Weather To Experience: Vol. 1” book.
Highs will hit the lower 90s, and combined with dewpoints approaching 70 (WHY), the atmosphere will almost be unbearable. If you have outdoor plans, be sure to stay hydrated and give yourself plenty of rest. Overnight, it doesn’t look much better. Lows will dip into the upper 60s at the lowest, but I have 70 as my forecasted low. Get the AC crankin’….
Thursday: Take Tuesday, combine it with Wednesday, and you have Thursday. Hot, with highs around 91ºF. Thur. night: Warm. Again. Lows around 71ºF.
Well, how many times can I say its gonna be hot and muggy before you get the picture?
I’m beating a dead horse here. Unless that horse is American Pharaoh, who is a living legend.
At this point you get that:
- This week is gonna be relatively quiet
- Its gonna be hot
- Its gonna be humid
- You’re likely gonna be sweating by the end of reading this
So, with that in mind, just remember that temps will reach the 90s again, and the dewpoints will approach 70 again. This will make it hot and humid across the region. It’ll be similar overnight (without the heat), as the low will only end up being around 71. Its so quiet that you may say that our weather is essentially like a library…
(Not really)
Well, thats all the craziness that I can pack into one boring forecast for you. In all seriousness, I do wanna stress that you need to take extra precautions when going outside for extended time of the day this week. Be sure to beat the heat with hydration, shade and rest.
