Today – 76 – Mostly Cloudy with potential for Isol’d Storms/Tonight – 58 – Mostly Cloudy & Scat’d Showers
Good Sunday Morning! It’s almost June and an end to the “rinse & repeat” forecast we have been stuck in may be in sight. A cold front will be moving through the region today giving us a chance for isolated storms along the front. Looking at the NAM surface temperature map for Sunday afternoon, you can see the northerly winds filtering cooler air into the area.
Rain chances continue into the night and throughout the day on Monday, but rest easy knowing the sunny weather is on its way! I know, I can’t wait either.
Monday – 74 – Mostly Cloudy & Scat’d Showers/Monday Night – 57 – Partly Cloudy
After the cold front moves through, temperatures on Monday will feel much different than the warm, humid temperatures from last week. A secondary low pressure system to the south could bring us potential scattered rain showers throughout the day. NAM Simulated Reflectivity for Monday afternoon shows widespread scattered showers for the area.
Monday night will be cool and calm as clouds and precipitation move out of the region and high pressure moves in behind it. I feel a sunny day coming on, so put away those raincoats and grab your sunglasses!
Tuesday – 79 – Mostly Sunny/Tuesday Night – 58 – Partly Cloudy
Temperatures will be on the rise for the remainder of the week as high pressure moves out and winds become southerly, increasing the warm air advection. All the kids are out of school now and will be itching to get outside. A break in the rain will definitely be a nice change from what we’ve been seeing, so enjoy it while it lasts!
