A Finals Week Forecast

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high of 73ºF. Tonight: Mostly clear, with heavy duty studying. Low of 48ºF.

Well, if you haven’t already heard, it is Finals week for us students here at WKU. And with finals week comes all nighters, donuts, studying, procrastinating, etc. You all have been there.

At least for those of you who are either done with finals or just don’t care, today is gonna rock your sock! A cooler and drier air mass will settle over the region behind the cold front, and this will keep skies mostly sunny. I have highs reaching the mid 70s across the region with some breezy conditions by the afternoon.

Overnight tonight should see similar conditions, but they’ll cool down pretty low. If you are out celebrating the end of the semester make sure to a) be smart and b) take a light coat. Lows will be in the upper 40s, so enjoy that while it lasts!

Wednesday: (Tuesday)². Sunny, with a high around 76ºF. Wed. night: Mostly clear, with a low of 52ºF.

So, I assume we all remember last week well? Consistently the exact same thing over and over and over again gets pretty boring sometimes, but I mean mid 70s and sunny doesn’t. I don’t know how else to put it: tomorrow looks almost perfect.

So take a break from complete and utter stress and try to unwind a bit in the outdoor air. Unless you’re working (which I am). Then you can be sad while you watch all of your friends unwind and watch Netflix instead of study. Sigh.

Oh well. At least the overnight hours will still be good! Mostly clear skies will dominate, with lows in the lower 50s.

Thursday: Increasing clouds, with a chance of a shower by evening. High of 80ºFThur. night: Isolated showers and cloudy, with a low of 63ºF.

Well, this day saved us from another round of, “Its like groundhogs day the movie” stuff going on. If Thursday was 83 and sunny, I think I would be concerned for the sanity of some meteorologists! But, Thursday saved us. A shortwave will be moving just to our north and will bring an increase in clouds and the chance for showers across the region as we move throughout the day.

Highs will end up in the lower 80s, but it shouldn’t be too bad without much significant sun. Overnight will be the same, only with a higher chance of showers. Lows will be close to 63.

Well, thats all I got for ya! I’ll leave you with this inspirational quote from a great man named John Denver:
