Sunday Morning Bowling Green Weather Update

Good morning, if you are tired of all the rain we have seen recently you are in luck. It looks like we could see no rainfall in the forecast over the next three days….

Any stray rain showers left around from yesterday’s area of low pressure  will quickly dissipate this morning. As low pressure moves east, expect colder air to move into the region behind the system with skies clearing throughout the day. Highs will only reach the lower 60s today with lows dipping down to around 40º overnight.

Monday 4/27 – Partly Cloudy – High 65˚ / Mon Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 41˚

Expect another beautiful day on Monday with no chance for precipitation. Surface winds out of the north will keep temperatures slightly below normal with highs in the middle 60s.

Tuesday 4/28 – Partly Cloudy – High 65˚ /Tue Night – Mostly Cloudy – Low 46˚

Tuesday has the chance to be the final day of the dry weather trifecta as rain chances look to the south of Kentucky. Expect partly cloudy skies throughout the day with highs in the middle 60s once again. Clouds should gradually increase overnight as an area of low pressure will be positioned to our south.

Currently, almost all of the model guidance is on board with the idea of precipitation staying to our south with the GFS painting a few isolated showers here Tuesday night. For now we will keep the forecast dry but if the area of low pressure tracks further north we could see better rain chances across southern Kentucky. Taking a look at later this week, it looks like dry weather may stick around through the weekend so enjoy any outdoor plans over the next several days.
